Bruce Doyle reported that we have about 11 foursomes and really need to add 1-2 more. Auction items have been coming in and he thanked all Rotarians who have contributed in some way, whether it be golfing, auction items, sponsorships or assisting with managing the event. He also asked those who have not yet responded to try to do so by the end of the week. There are many opportunities available and they are as follows:

Lunch Sponsor - $500
Dinner Sponsor - $1,000
( Can be shared by 2 members or sponsors)
Tee Sponsor - $100
Cart Sponsor - $50
Auction Donation
Baskets, Sports Tickets & Memorabilia, Gift Certificates, Cash among other items
Dinner - $40

Please support this event as it is our biggest fundraiser of the year and makes it possible for us to provide two $2,500 scholarships to graduating seniors who exemplify Rotary's ideals.

The Lowell Spinners game on Thursday, August 9th was a great success. There were more than 20 there for the game including Rotarians and their families. The Spinners beat the Brooklyn Cyclones 3-1 thanks to two sixth inning home runs.  Amy's son Nicholas and Bob Lusardi's grandchildren all enjoyed running the bases after the game. The fireworks put an exclamation point on a great evening.

There was no speaker as the regular monthly board meeting took place immediately following the meeting.
