At our meeting on July 17th, Dave had requested that all members visit the website and login and update their personal profile. If you have any problems doing so, please call Dave at 781-438-4003 or email him at djg@boydsdirect.com. After lunch, Amy took photos of all members in attendance for the profiles and those have already been added. If you would prefer to use another photo you can update your photo when editing your profile. Thank you Amy!

Joe provided an update on our golf tournament on August 13th. So far we have 8 foursomes but we need to get another 6-8 to fill out the roster. Please remember that you can play as a single and you can invite friends, family, business associates or anyone who is a friend of the Stoneham community. Remind them that the proceeds benefit the Stoneham High School Rotary Scholarships and other local groups.

We now have 21 guests registered for the Lowell Spinners and only have 9 tickets left. Please go online and register if you are interested in a great evening.

Please reserve the date of September 27th for the District Fellowship event at Stoneham Theatre. Lumberjacks in Love should be extremely entertaining and with all of the opportunities to meet and greet Rotarians from around the district you can be sure that it will be a night to remember. Click on the Night at the Theatre link under events for more details.

We will be starting the duty rosters in September so now is the time to begin to build a team that you would like to work with for a month serving your fellow Rotarians. The team will be expected to find exciting speakers, meet and greet members and guests, lead the Pledge of Allegiance, provide the invocation and assist in clearing the tables. The hope is that we can share the load as many hands make light work.

Our meetings will have a little different look for the next two months. As has been the custom, the first Tuesday of the month will continue to be the board meeting and we will introduce a club assembly in order to provide a monthly update of the club and all of the committee activities as well as district and national news and developments. The second Tuesday will provide a different menu of hamburgers, hot dogs and grilled chicken with the traditional barbecue side dishes of potato salad and tossed salad. What hopes to be a nice twist is the evening social for the fourth Tuesday. We will have some finger sandwhiches, cheese and crackers and a cash bar. Our goal is to invite key community members and potential Rotarians to visit with us and share important information that is crucial to everyone. Although this is not intended to be one of our semi-annual recruitment events, it is likely to produce a few members. Please invite anyone who you think would benefit Rotary and the community.

Finally, the final transfer of the club domain is complete. Now you can visit the club website at stonehamrotaryclub.org. Please take 15-30 minutes and poke around. It will be worth your while.
