President Carolyn Lassiter called the meeting to order at 12:30pm
 
Bruce Doyle started our meeting off with Red Sox Trivia.
 
Joe Gresci spoke about our efforts to engage new members.  He was passing around a sheet looking for names and address of prospective members. He will be mailing invitations to attend our membership event that is planned for Tuesday November 12, 2013.  The event is scheduled for 6:30 pm at Bear Hill Country Club.  If you weren’t able to add to his list today, please email him with the information.  Joe also gave our guest invitation cards and invited all members to take some and use them as a tool to attract visitors.
 
Joe also spoke about an opportunity to give “Helping Our Troops” assistance with packing holidays packages for the troops in Afghanistan. This is to take place on Tuesday November 19th from 3-6 pm at Town Hall.  Please consider coming down and helping out, all are welcome.
 
Dave Gardner spoke about the District initiative to attract members.  The district is compiling a list of at home business and producing a postcard mailer with the specifics of each club’s event.  Stoneham has 347 prospects.  A vote was taken and approved to spend $83.28 to participate in this endeavor.
 
Carolyn introduced our guest speaker Dawn Bronson from Edward Jones.  Dawn’s handouts and presentation concerned “The Entrepreneurial Equation”

The next scheduled meeting will be held at Bear Hill Golf Course on Tuesday October 29th at 12:15pm.
