Meeting Notes

Our website has been converted to ClubRunner and Dave provided a brief description of the layout including the Club Event, Speaker, Story and Officer Sections. Everything that is in blue ink is a hyperlink which will bring you to another page with additional detail. All items that are date based will automatically roll on and off the website. The bulletin will now be created based on the content in the website although items can be included in one and not the other. At the bottom of the email will be your commitments to Rotary in the coming weeks. As the site develops, you will see more items listed.

The current web address is www.clubrunner.ca/stoneham and will soon be converted to www.stonehamrotaryclub.org.

Please take the time to visit the site, look around and login per the instructions in last weeks email. If you need login information, please call Dave at 617-504-3695 or send him an email to djg@boydsdirect.com.Once you logon, you can go to MyClubRunner and update your profile. Please check all your personal information and update any errors or omissions. You will also be able to see your attendance information for the first half of this year.

A special thanks to Christine Murphy for her year of service as Treasurer, as well as Steve Rotondi for taking on this important role for the upcoming year.

Joe Gresci reported that we need to push to get golfers committed for the tournament that is only 4 weeks away. Bruce and Galina are hard at work recruiting golfers and auction items. If anyone can help in this effort please help them out. There are opportunities for every club member to play, sponsor a hole or a cart, or step up and be a lunch or dinner sponsor. The auction is one of the biggest cash contributors to the outing, so please donate an item or cash to buy an item or part of a basket. There are three foursomes committed so far, but we need at least 14-16 total. If you would like to attend the dinner and not play golf, you can purchase a ticket for $40 and join in the evening festivities.

The Lowell Spinners game is scheduled for Thursday, August 9, 2012. So far, 16 tickets have been spoken for but we have 14 left. If you are interested please click on that link and register.

The previously mentioned Evening Cocktail Receptions will occur on the third Tuesday for the months of August and September. In addition, based on feedback we will try to have a cookout on the second Tuesday for those months as well to shake things up a little while we have such great weather.

Keep an eye out for information about the creation of the monthly service teams. Hopefully we will begin incorporating these into the meeting in July or August.
